I like this attitude. Every week someone will say "Ooooh, I've got a bad feeling about today" but it's just superstition and not wanting to 'put the mockers on it' as you say. There is no reason for anyone to have a 'bad feeling' about Swindon this season. Whilst we're clearly not going to win every game, you have to be going in to every game knowing you have a very good chance of winning.

Yes, McCormack has been brilliant this season and will be a loss no doubt. Let's not forget though that De Vera was playing pretty well before he got injured.

I always remember when I lived in Sheffield in the mid 90s, Barnsley and Sheffield councils used to try to dump the responsibility of Rotherham on each other 'cos it was such a shithole and they wanted rid of it.

Fuck you National Rail. I should have been at the game today but thanks to the incompetence of those wankers I missed the game. Left St Pancras at 10.55 which would see me arrive in Sheffield at 1 o'clock, but thanks to a 3 hour delay between London and Leicester (normally takes an hour but took 4 hours) it was already 3 o'clock by the time I got to Leicester. Then the trains from there were cancelled so I couldn't get back to London at all. So I thought, may as well complete my tour of Britain and I went to the delightful Birmingham New Street, then Cheltenham and back to my parents house in Stroud. 8 and a half hours travelling for nothing. What a waste of time, effort and money. Oh and 4 quid for a sandwich, fuck off you money grabbing cunts. That is all.

If anything, PdC's 'previous' with refs isn't doing us any favours, that's for sure

As for Matt Ritchie...different class again.

He was a great player and he will become a great manager. A lot of people expected him to flop big time, everyone was p!ssing themselves at the start of the season when Swindon started off down at the bottom. Its p!ssed a lot of people off that he has turned it around. 

If Di canio was manager of another club in our league he would get the abuse here he gets on the road. He is a big name so attracts attention. All the better for us as he's at our club

I'm sure having been a Lazio Ultra, played in Rome derbies, Glasgow derbies etc, etc he would be Ok at Rotherham. The only way I can imagine him being in trouble from them is if he sat amongst them dressed in a whippet outfit. If you had to sit down and name all 92 league clubs then you'd probably get around to remembering Rotherham somewhere in the very high 80s.

Very good performance today from Swindon at the Don Valley Stadium.  The defence looked solid with DeVera & Flint dominant in the air & winning tackles. Wes had a fairly quiet first half and the midfield buzzed & competed with Ferry, De Vita & Ritchie looking good. Caddis made some great runs & Benson looks like he could be the striker we've needed all season.  His general ability is top notch and he led the line superbly. As a result the team now has & retains its shape and purpose. Then two typical Ritchie wonder strikes and we're in command. Strange ground though, only one stand open yet the team benches were away from the crowd on the other side - the players must have felt that they were playing on the local Rec. There was a discernible delay before the Town fans realised Ritchie had scored because the goal was so far away. So Town were much the better side in the first half.

Second half, Revill scores his inevitable goal against us & suddenly Rotherham are back in the game. They pushed forward & pressed us for most of the second half but fortunately the defence recovered from the disappointment of conceding a goal and held out for a very valuable three points. I believe that this was only the second loss at home for the Millers so this win will be especially valuable come seasons end.  Great day out for the 551 fans who made the trip.

Risser sounds dead chuffed on facebook

Bodin was OK without being outstanding. He's really developed & matured after his 'Work Experience' at Torquay and stood up to some tackles very strongly & took the Rotherham defenders on with speed & some skill.  It didn't always come off but he was quick, inventive & not afraid to compete. I don't think he'll be going back to Torquay as he has a part to play with us this season.

Hmmm, difficult. Connell has been on form with 3 goals in as many matches & of course is much more experienced at this level.  I was surprised that he wasn't in the team today but maybe Paolo wanted to give Billy B a competitive game to see how he's developed & improved. To continue that progess he's going to need game time - so someone has to lose out.

If I were in Paolo's shoes I'd probably start with Connell but Billy B didn't let the side down or disgrace himself today.

Some very reasonable comments there.  Fair play to them after apparently being on top in the second half.

Some of the dislike of Swindon (and more so, Paolo) amongst a few L2 fans and managers seems like nothing more than jealousy but I've not heard anything but admiration for what PdC has achieved so far this season from fans of other clubs that I've talked to.  Yes, a bit of jealousy from other clubs at L2 level but along the lines of wishing that their club could be in our position.

1. Paolo Di Canio. - How can you not love this guy Managing our team ? Pantomime villan or what. He must love that attention. Could he just sit down and watch the game right in the middle of the Northern Monkey's. ?
Could he fuck - Up and down as if he was in the dugouts ? - Sometimes more focus from both sets of fans than the game. Yes Scott a fucking circus which you wern't part of.

2. Our fans. 500 or so made the journey on a cold January day with such a poor view.
Really got behing the team and a credit to our Club.

Bodin... Nice to see him picked but by no fault of his own the game passed him by,a was replaced by Murray for some reason I cannot fathom who was equally isolated.....can Murray tackle? Makes don rogers look like a hatchet man! Connell needed to enter the fray in this encounter IMHO.

Benson.....a real gem, big and strong and put himself about as well, unlucky not to score.
