For a record 5th time.

Eh? I can remember Macari 1986, Di Canio 2012, Wellens 2020. Who am I missing?

If the judge has told Power cant sell without Clem & Standing agreeing then Clem wont agree to selling to Able so that is that one closed down, it surely opens it up for Clem, and if he has to be provided paperwork to see the finances then surely it opens a can of worms on Power as he has kept them under lock and key for so long and is now being forced to show them.

If he has retained the services of an administrator I assume that is another cost on the club to pay for.

You feel the game is up for Power but equally you can see him dragging this out for as long as he can to stick the middle finger up to everyone and walk away laughing.

Worth noting the judge has ordered Clem and Standing to stump up £300,000 - presumably the monthly wage bill. He must have a good idea in his own mind who owns what. Clem is fair enough as he is an official partner, but to order Standing to put in (more) cash seems to me the judge thinks he has an obligation to do so - which would be odd if hasn’t.

I don't get why only Clem & Standing, why not Power as well ?

I can only assume that it's because Power is purely the front. Doesn't have any money (despite previous claims the cash was his). Both Standing & Clem clearly have proof of their funding to STFC.

Power merely a hustling benefactor maybe?

Also for reference... the soapiest of titw*nks. The best of it is, the article was only a few years ago. Kind of egg on Power's face to make such massive claims that it was "his" manney!

Well, it’s obvioùs why this season went to shit. Standing turned off the money tap - understandably - and Power either doesn’t have any (doubtful) or knew this was the end game and refused to finance anywhere near a competitive squad.

I honestly doubt he’s put much of his own money in at all. Very adept at taking it out, mind.

It says they offered to fund the club for another month by the sounds of it, a way of getting the judge to agree to keep the existing injunctions in place for now, pending new info.  Basically it looks like a way of stopping Power bringing in Administrators as he is suggesting we are insolvent without a sale to Able.

The operating costs for the next 3 to 4 months look odd - how will we need to spend over half our normal annual costs in that time period given 90% of the admin staff are still being picked up by the Govt.?

On the sale itself, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that Power likes a 1 quid deal because it likely means something favourable to him on paying the debts back (i.e him).  Standing's claim of ownership or debt will be interesting here - if he part owns the business, that stumps Power.  If it's just a debt, then it will boil down to whether he paid Power or the club.

the standing court case isn't due until June 2022

I assume upcoming change of ownership will somehow resolve it early

Because it was them who obtained the original injunction that is preventing Power from disposing of the club as he wishes, so if they wish to continue to delay that process, it is down to them to fund it
