I managed to get swindon into the prem in 2 seasons, consecutive promotions, with no cheating.
Getting into the championship is easy, from tehre you just gotta know the players to buy. and use the right tactics.

Sebastien Leto: The Club do not want to loan this player.

Wank.

Sold Nicholas, Pook, Allen, Jack Smith, Roberts and trying to ship out a few more. Nobody in yet, but still a few weeks. Got Cox and 'Minges to sign new deals, which is a good start.

I've got Ched Evans, he's better. And Nabil El Zhar for the right wing. That's a good start

Edit: And Ritchie Jones, although he's a centre mid on this. Looks like he can run around a bit; high stamina, work rate etc.

He's only on loan sadly, but my squad's now looking pretty strong. I think I need a new goalkeeper but that's about it.

What works tactic wise on this game? I'm still used to the old centralised tactics off CM 01/02, do I get to use wingers on here or what?

goalkeeper wise, Eros Corradini turns into a world class keeper in a couple of years, best of all he's yours for next to nothing, and will join swindon from the start. or alexander hysen, swedish u21 keeper. Seyfo Soley or Manning from Hamilton are good DMs, Kumer and Sabic turn into good DCs, Lustig and Kuban are awesome WBs/DR/DLs, Mihelic is an immense AMC/AML, Volas is a wicked striker, although he's massively tempremental, QPR put in a shitty offer for hum in august '08, he's still pissed off i turned it down in may '09, and hasnt played brilliantly this season.

oh, i just got promoted to the CC in my 2nd season via the playoffs. beat carlisle 2-1 in the final, played them off the park.

formation wise i vary it a bit, i've got a fairly defensive 442 from the Dugout forum, i've my own 442 thats a bit more adventurous, but i just leek goals constantly.

Lustig is a classy left back, turns into a great player but hard to keep hold of after a few seasons.

Aquino does turn into a great Left Winger/Striker but early in the game he wont sign for me at Swindon whereas Lustig (though fairly expensive at £400k is willing to come to Swindon.

Also in variation of my games he (Lustig) is alternating left wingback and right wingback(?)
