Looking at the league table and trying to work out how we're not bottom.

That makes absolutely no sense.

Think SM meant in relative terms to how shit Town are, most other seasons Town would likely be bottom and possibly adrift.
Thankfully (but also sadly in football terms) for Town, the shitness and averageness of the league is at a high peak. It's one of the reasons why I think the target points for survival this season will be a pretty low target (mentioned 42pts somewhere else). Unless three of the seven go on some kind unbeatable run but that is usually rare. Maybe one, possibly two can do so; even then it would be four from five.
Town's chances are looking slim but so long as the constant (the collective shitness of at least five team) remains so, they may be able to get out of it. As stated before, could just as easily finish 17th/18th or well below the Plimsoll line in 24th. Joy.

Obviously you've not been watching us play lately.

This also makes no sense. And I think I've watched every game this season so far.

What I think you're trying to say (badly) is that we're playing so badly you don't see how we're not bottom.
Well, one of the games I have seen was us vs Wigan - and they were noticeably worse than we are. So there's the (rather obvious) answer to at least one of those positions below us.

We have played more games, but we aren't below Burton on PPG as it stands. yay ------------ anyway, the ref squaring up to a player at the Ipswich game.

Agreed but in last 5 form (and since Hasselbaink has been in) Burton have won 3 of their last 5. Effectively their most recent form is considerably better than Town, who have only won 1 of their last 5...Burton have seen a good improvement and appears to be now on a higher plateau than Town. The table sometimes does lie a little in regards to present positions "in-season". Yes but we've seen it all before with Italian Ref, Collina. Some players need putting in their place on the pitch. Judge is no saint. It's yesterday's chip paper though really

As a result of PowerLine's thread on the joys of sausages, I picked some up from the local shop. I am looking forward to a fine way to break my fast tomorrow morning.

Snap JBZ. I was cooking ragu but that can simmer on for a few hours. After reading about the joys of sausages, I popped out and picked up local butchers bangers and hotdog city here we come.

Havent read back to see if anyone posted this but it did bring a smile to my old ugly face. All too often footballers are considered to be heartless in the media yet something like this happens and too few even report it. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56086665

Loved it. He has every right to stand up for himself. I’ve heard some people go for the ol’ ‘but professionalism’ argument, but players are professionals too, don’t see why it can’t work both ways. Ideally I think we’d all rather that the players clean up their behaviour, but until they do, I’d like to see more Darren Drysdales’
