As long as he heard the news from someone at the club.
With the assumption that Gabilondo is gone. Callum Kennedy is the only high profile name who could walk today/tomorrow.

So Scott and Smith gone. No surprises there. That leaves Gabilondo and Kennedy as the 2 left who's futures have yet to be decided. Reckon both could be off to be honest.

I'm interested to see what will be done with the exiled players.

"Gutted to be leaving swindon after 6 years thank you for all the support and wish all the players and staff all the best in the future. And thank you to jeremy wray for showing me some respect for ringing me and telling me other than the manager who doesn't have the guts!!!"
Smith, Phil. 2012.
Wouldn't be surprised if Paolo did call him, it was just that when Smith went to pick up the phone he dropped it. My opinion of Smith hasn't changed for a long time, an able backup who can have good games, but a liability if you were going to rely on him all season. With him & Scott gone, and Lanzano out of the picture it does make you wonder if there is anything in the David James rumours.

I'm guessing we're hoping they come back more committed in pre season. If not then we'll try and find a club to take them. Paying them off will just set us back a few bob which we may be able to avoid.

Including Gabilondo and Kennedy, Di Canio has a 26 (1 paid by Samsung) man squad of professionals. If he wants to bring people then surely to goodness we've got to get the likes of Esajas, Kerrouche and Lanzano out? Obviously there are players who featured often who might leave if a bid comes in.

I've put the twitter accounts on the original post.
I think Simon Ferry is MIA again though.

Agreed. I think the hangover of some of last summer's ineffective signing will be a slower summer this time around. Players need to leave before more can come in.

I'm not sure whether I'm surprised about Callum Kennedy. Ridehalgh and McEveley both looked better.
