When I lived in Luxembourg I watched a reasonable amount of German football and loved his Dortmund team. I've never really 'liked' Liverpool but I think he's been a breath of fresh air there for the most part. Big loss for them.

I guess Brighton are bracing themselves for the inevitable De Zerbi approach

I was disappointed when he went to Liverpool because he seemed like a great bloke, and a top manager.

For a while he did come across that way at Liverpool, but his time there seemed to have turned him into a bit of a cock.

Hopefully some time away he can revert back to the top bloke he was at the start

I think you are right PR. The premier league does tend to bring out the worst in managers, look at what happened with Arsene Wenger. The same could be said of Arteta who is turning into a right mardy so and so. Maybe he looked at his behaviour and decided it wasn't worth it. Winning the league with Liverpool would be a great way for him to bow out. Technically they can still win 4 trophies I think (they won't)

Nice guy, can totally understand why he wants a break after what is bloody long spell for a manager these days.

Alonso does seem a no brainer unless they massively fall away in the german title race

Great stuff. Hopefully Liverpool start on a downward spiral now.

Klopp was good.

Knowing the lucky scoucers they will prize Xabi Alonso from the Bundesliga and carry on like nothing has changed.

Klopp has been a class act tho and will be a big miss.

Klopp is the only thing I don't mind about Liverpool. Shame he's leaving really but glad at the same time.

Even the stadium announcer annoys me at that club.
