"Swindon deputy chairman Mark Devlin has revealed that the club has recently been in talks with potential new investors. He said: "There is nothing concrete at the moment but we certainly hope to get them on board sooner rather than later." SOURCE: WDP To all those that doubted my exclusive on the Alan Ball consortium, here you go. Once AGAIN, you heard it here first. Alan Ball and another ex england international will invest in Swindon in the near future. I await your 'bollocks' and other similar comments.

Can't wait if it's true, will send a message to Willie Carson that we want Investors who are interested in the sport.

Great stuff.
Bit odd although if you go back to MD's comments regarding the Stadium proposals he implied (although not directly) that an investment of 25 million had been lined up to fund half of the 50 required for the stadium costs.
It will be interesting to see how things take shape and how any investor takes their place at the board’s dinner table. After all at present we have a board that’s largely been connected to SSW’s advisor rather than coming in off their own backs.
An Alan Ball headed consortium still sounds very odd. I’d have thought it more likely to be property developers.

Why would they want to invest in us? This immediately leads me to assume that something can happen on the ground front, otherwise why would they plough any money in at all? So, very good news in that respect.
