No surprises really: 1. Ronaldinho (Barcelona) 2. Frank Lampard (Chelsea) 3. Steven Gerrard (Liverpool) 4. Thierry Henry (Arsenal) 5. Andriy Shevchenko (AC Milan) 6. Paolo Maldini (AC Milan) 7. Adriano (Inter Milan) 8. Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Juventus) 9. Kaka (AC Milan) 10. Samuel Eto'o (Barcelona) Stevie G did well to get in 3rd. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/4475808.stm

Surprising that Rooney's not on there though, he will be next year if he continues his current form, I think Lampard deserved it he's scored 30+ goals so far in 2005 and 11 in 14 games in the premiership this season already, not forgetting a couple for England. He also has more assists than any other premiership player.

Agree at the moment Ronaldinho is different class.....close to entering the pantheon of greats....a Champions league with Barca and another WC should do it.

Lampard is poor for England though. Don't agree with you there. He was England's player of the year for 2004, one of our best players in the Austria game and scored a superb winner against Poland to win us the qualifying group and he was our best player in that game.

Seeing some of his recent skill makes me wonder whether his free kick against Seaman in the world cup was actually meant! :-))(

Yes he was one of the best England players in Euro 2004, i didnt see the Austria or Poland game as i was in America but he was poor against Northern Ireland(ok so was everybody else) but he didnt do alot against the Argies or Wales(Millenium stadium).

Anyone know how David Duke is getting on at Darlo? In Daisy's 13 games fro Darlo they've only conceded more than 1 once a crazy 4-4 draw v Chester. Its goalscoring they find difficult....I for one will give Daisy a warm reception next season.
