I really feel for the Morecambe fans - it is just odd the owner does not want them and their was a deal on the table just needed final sign off and who paid money upfront (more fool them) - you suspect the owner now wont sell, will stop the fan directors putting the club into Admin, and then will just leave the club bobbling along, then the ones who wanted to take them over will issue court proceedings for their money - this ends one way sadly probably with a phoenix club being created
Reading some of the stuff knocking about from fans up here on SM, the likely outcomes are either a) some of the creditors (which include unpaid players etc - coincidentally including the SM person who is having to put these various statements out) get together (possibly with HMRC) and get the club into court sharpish with a winding up order or b) the league will just boot them out entirely as they haven't paid the players etc.
I'd be surprised despite what has been said if the prospective new owners have put much in as they don't appear to have much themselves.
