Off to New York on saturday.

Has anyone ever used the ‘mobile passport control’ app and is it worth it?

I did a 1-week Caribbean cruise with P&O in February 2023 and only the first night had a dress code of tuxedos/suits. Barbados was probably the best stop. It was my first cruise and I wouldn't do one again; I'm 38 and 95% of the other guests were over 60). It was a 3* room in a floating 5* hotel. I did enjoy the variety of restaurants onboard, and exploring (briefly) all the islands we stopped at. I booked excursions via P&O for almost every stop and they were really good - kayaking mangroves, climbing a mountain, snorkelling with turtles.

Crusie lines differ massively on their clientele. P&O are always going to be on the older side, especially out of the school holidays. You'll find a younger crowd on other lines like Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and MSC.

Nice if you can afford it, but we hardly spend anytime in the room so not bothered. A balcony is nice though.

Well it's free, so nothing to lose?

I bet you just end up in the normal queue and save no time though!

Probably

I thought it would be some kind of queue jump thing as they have a dedicated lane

We’re off to Rome for a few days, hopefully we get there this time as it’s been cancelled twice due to Covid 🤞.

Hoping that by the time we get back we’ve had a blow your socks off signing or two (I know it’s not likely but a fool can dream can’t they)

After you visit the Colloseum, head about half a mile NW to
Monument to Victor Emmanuel II. Batch recommended it to me when I went in 2019. Cracking views from the rooftop, got some great shots of the forum, Colloseum and stadio olympico from there  Smiley

Great place.

We got a ticket for the Bus that goes around the inner city and you can hop off at all the sights.

We are going back to see the stuuf we missed.
