Conroy kept it purely professional, even when pressed by Hawes. The contrast would have been telling if he spoke to JS. Although it can be a little easier to deal with questions when not facing them in person.

Andrew Hawes will not be talking to the Tri-Sheritops tonight...or any member of management. Has he finally walked?

I really should read posts and take on board their meaning before replying.

Alternately I should be clearer in my posts Smiley

Is it not contractual to have to attend a post match conference as a manager? Maybe he’s not the manager anymore....

True - but the assistant has always been out. Incredible for neither of them to take it

Sounds like his style doesn't it. Miserable failure with a chip on his shoulder that he's reduced to taking whatever shitty job someone will offer, taking it out on his players. Inspiring stuff.

I know the drinking thing was a rumour, but you could actually see it.  The picture building up and becoming clear is of a guy who seems to have left better days behind him.  He's taking it out on those around him (it's that or he is just a spiteful fucker, so I am actually giving him the benefit of the doubt here) and you could see it being quite depressive for someone who spent a number of years being  a bit" good" at something.  The legs take that away from a footballer and then they have to do something else with their lives, much more mundane.  Managing is a way of staying involved, but, those lazy fuckers just can't do what came easy to you (when you also had a coaching team helping you out by giving you the right framework to be individually good).  For the wrong sort of character, that could easily push a person into a depressive state with all that comes with it.  Add in his situation with his parents - it's a toxic mix.

So he either has to leave for his own and our good - based on the performances and the audio from tonight, or he's a monster who deserves to go for being a bully out of choice.

The way Sheridan treats his players has come out into the open tonight. He's no more than a bully and the players do not want to play for him.

For the love of all things holy relieve him immediately Power or its 100% league 2 next season. Put fucking Mildenhall in charge if you want to go cheap, at least we'll give it a bit of a go.

Give it Caddis to the end of the season. Could it be worse? At least if it was as bad, we'd know it was coming from a good place.

Hawes:
- If you are going to hit the ball long to Pitman, surely you need to have players around him? But at the mo we have wide players staying wide and midfielders staying in conservative positions
- There doesn't seem to be any pressure from the top on Sheridan.
- There is still time to rescue the situation due to the collective incompetence at the bottom of the league
- Wimbledon and Rovers may pick up having made managerial changes
- It feels like too much groundhog the way games are unfolding
- If things drift for another 5-6 games then you dont give a new manager time to turn things around

At least you wouldn't be able to understand him on the sidelines

Sheridan seems to be the type of manager who doesn't care whether the players like or respect him but just hopes to get a 'we'll show him and prove him wrong response' siege mentality.  May work with some groups of players but other groups go backwards.

Wonder what the contractual situation with Noel Hunt. If we are still paying his wages it could be time for an Andy King style return?
