Why bring on Curran when Conroy's on the bench?
Maybe Sheridan's written the game off and there's an incentive to bring Curran on???

The gaps in our defence are undefendable.
They are quite attackable though

Is Grounds on a long term deal, or was it a short one? I mean, Curran is clearly here as a favour, but Grounds is holding a slot that could be worthy of replacing in Jan.

We have an injury crisis already, not rushing Conroy back if he's not absolutely fit seems firmly sensible. That sub was more about who came off than who came on. The Military Messiah down injured now. Grounds contracted to EOS.

I think it is a very definite case of writing this one off now - save as much as you can for the next one.

Crewe full of energy we look absolutely done for. Concerning how many muscle injuries we have, without doubt we do not look fit.

Harry Parsons comes on for his debut and immediately commits a foul.

Definately, its damage limitation now, don't concede any more sloppy goals.

Basically Crewe have made the right changes tonight and galloped away with a strategic second half victory. I could see Town maybe getting one back but as others have said, Town are on fumes at present. Realistically there is only Stevens on that bench with any real minutes in him. Maybe if we were 2 ahead you bring Conroy on for a 10min run about. On the flip, I think with the game conceded in those ludicrous 10-12mins, I think maybe treat the last 15 as a training game and bring on a few youngsters. No pressure just purely "go and show me what you have". I see Agent Olly Lancashire getting in on the act with a shot on target! Shame, not going to get into a melty McMeltdown scenario, several were predicting a loss. It is what it is for Town this season, they're are rather like Franchise a few seasons back when they just didn't know what team would turn up on the day. One game looking like doing/building on something, the next looking like a team of Raggy Dolls. Frustrating nonetheless!

We've played nine times since 3rd November, it would be an absolute miracle if, with the squad we had, we weren't absolutely done for stamina wise. M Smith has played every single minute of those games I think. Grant had one off.

Worrying but the nature of the injuries are concerning.
