I love a bit of lardy cake.

The wife's grandfather used to own & run a bakery and makes the best lardy I've ever tasted.

Bassett Bakery do them, but it's not a patch on his.

Used to get them in Devizes but the Bassett Bakery is the best ive tasted in ref to limited supply....microwave zap it...cup of tea...lovely...

Love it, the gooier the better,  used to get a great Lardy cake from Salisbury market,  Reeves the baker is another one that still does a good one.
Gran used to make a great one, Don't think the youngsters can be bothered or have the time these days.

The Co-op in Old Town often have them (think other Co-ops in town do too). Also 3 Trees Farm Shop at Chiseldon.
