I hope they don't blockade again as I have to travel a fair way to get to work and back and I haven't got the time or energy to waste sitting in a queue for petrol. I obviously want the prices to go down! I went to tesco in abingdon to fill up monday night and it was 95.9 p a litre, so I waited to get it in wallingford as it is only 89.7 there, but by the time I got there it had gone up to 93  today when I went past it was up to 95.9. cunts

I've considered swapping my Audi A4 for a smart car - the fuel goes a lot further for your money, but do I want to drive a tonka toy? Not really, No. But I begrudge paying £50 to fill my car up and getting about 350 miles out of a tank full!
Fuel prices are ridiculous, have they shot up this much across europe as well?

Not sure about that to be honest. There is much more the government could do but they dont! They always just blame it on oil prices. Of course partly it is but all they simply need to do is a staggered type taxation system and everybody would be happy!

Yeah oil prices are high, but the tax on fuel is astronomical, much higher than anywhere in the whole fecking world. We ge ripped off left, right and centre in this country, especially with all the taxes we pay.

That's if I drive cautiously! I only do about 20 miles a day but all urban, don't get over 60 mph and spend half the time sat in traffic. ARSE!
I even considered a fucking scooter, but then though of the ridicule and the fact I'd probably fall off and freeze in the winter so quickly dismissed the idea!
You must drive a thirsty motor?

It's fucking rediculous - as a student how am I supposed to afford 30 quid to fill up my car which will only take me around 300 miles, driving conservatively. My folks have just got back from Costa Rica - less than a tenner to fill up a Rav 4.
The government are taking the piss on taxing fuel, as it seems to be going up at an alarming rate. When I first got my car in December 2003 it used to cost 25 quid to fill up, compared to today's 30 quid. That's a 20% increase in 18 months.

I put Shell Optimax in my Type R and it's 97.9p a litre.
I get about 340 miles from a tank (£55)

I'm temporarily resident in the USA thanks to work and it cracks me up when stupid insular americans start complaining about the cost of fuel. I take pleasure in informing them of how well off they really are compared to UK, that starts to shut them up. That said, when I arrived here in January, the cost of a gallon was $1.85, its now averaging around $2.99, so thats a substantial hike in 8 months. Good job I bought cars that do more than 25 mpg

I dont drive but the prices everybody are willing to pay is fucking ridiculous!, everybody moans to themselves and does fuck all about it, so im glad that the Truckers are leading the way to try and get the price down.
In the UK we pay 80% Tax on Fuel.
