Is it easy enough to download podcasts to an SD card as mp3?

After the Peter Crouch ones in particular.

Any other decent podcast suggestions? Find they help me take my mind off other matters.

Any of the TED talks are pretty good. I'm sure CH4s Unreported World have a few. Depends what you're escaping from and trying to focus on.

Hope all ok.

Not sure about the MP3 bit but Price of Football is quite good, if a bit nerdy. Daily Football on BBC Sounds is usually OK. Away from football, Infinite Monkey Cage is excellent if you like scientific stuff explained simply and humorously.

Athletico Mince, and Elis James & John Robins routinely have me in stitches. For football, Quickly Kevin Will He Score is pure 90s nostalgia.

Yeah, Elis and John's stuff is great. A whole XFM back catalogue too.

Not gone through it yet, slightly intimidated by the sheer volume tbh.

The "Sat Nav" Shamewell I know though and that is prime #content

I've got into my podcasts recently - pretty much all football ones mind you.

Guardian Football Weekly, Totally Football Show and the Football Ramble are my go to Pods for football analysis. (Although the Football Ramble has a really irritating Geordie on it who I suspect maybe marmite for people)

NTT20 and Going up Going Down podcast for the non-premier league chat.

Athletico Mince, Quickly Kevin will he score and the Peter Crouch podcast for the more humerous side of the game.

And finally the creme de la menthe of Podcasts; The Loathed Strangers, for all your STFC requirements.

Its a finely guarded secret. Should probably be discussing this in the private area really! Wink

The loathed what now?

The loathed stranger, because we don't know him but we do hate him  Grin

I listen to Joe Rogan when he has someone interesting on. They tend to be a bit long and tail off towards the end. I rarely listen to one all the way through.

I tried to download some Adam Buxton ones to listen to at work. Can't seem to work out how to download from his website or app though. Don't want to rinse my data too much while I'm on site. Any ideas?

Suggesting that someone from Hartlepool is a Geordie would get you murdered in those parts, Pete Donaldson is an acquired taste, actually the spin off Luke and Pete show is pretty good for randomness.

My pod listening has reduced now my commute has changed from 1.5 hours each way to c.30 dsecs each way. However still do...

'The New European' doesn't take it self too seriously if you are a remainer;
'Friday Night Comedy' form the BBC
'Great Lives' from the BBC

Beyond that for me its cycling and horse racing ones which are perhaps a little niche!

Well he comes across as a Newcastle fan so is a geordie in my eyes! I did try the Luke and Pete show, but it just allowed him a platform to be even more irritating. A shame as I think Luke Moore is a good broadcaster.

Interestingly I find Luke far more irritating as he takes himself more seriously than the format (and has a habit of saying 'if I could just finish my point' when he dominates most of the discussion). Do like the Ramble though, not least because they had a whole bit on how shit Gillingham was and challenging people to disagree (almost nobody did).
