Pretty awful first half but equally we could be winning, they are just as bad at the back as us.

HT 1-1 probably fair, both sides look shakey at the back but their keeper looks really dodgy.

Got back into it a bit toward the end but not great. We can play better than this... a lot better.

We look very flimsy at the back. Got a feeling those 2 red cards have got some treading very carefully.

In and around their box we look likely every time. Still csnnot believe that Alzate shot didn't go in off the post.

Given up expecting any commentary now. How hard can it be to sort out?

Interesting one. We survived a ten-minute meltdown when we couldn't get a foot on it in midfield. Pretty even all in all (with FGR FFS!). Richards controlling nothing, Alzate lively but wasteful, central defence not getting a head on much. Smith probably our best player so far.

We look good with the ball and atrocious without it.  The defensive shape is non existent.  I don't think we can have all three of Doughty, Alzate and Anderson all playing, not with Taylor being a positional nightmare when defending, which is not going to change.  He needs support, which is why they moved McGlashan over early on, he was getting swamped.  If those three can't all play, you'd have to leave out Anderson on the season so far.  It also needs someone in the middle pulling players around if need be and Lancashire barely knows where he is supposed to be let alone anyone else.

Nelson looks rash to me.  He's better than other options, and Lancashire, but he's too eager to win the thing making it easier to drag him about.

The gaps are all between our midfield and defence, so many knock downs end up in space and we are second to the ball because we are waiting for someone else to sort it out.  Shame Diagarouga made a tit of himself in the last game, it's him, or a player like him we need.  If Alzate is released into the role Anderson takes, he'd be far more productive.

Overall, messy half, could be behind, could be winning it.

Smith and Knoyle are standouts for me so far, Nelson doing ok, Doughty looking handy but has gone missing at times. Vigs doing ok too, making a lot of catches and a couple of saves.

I thought Anderson actually looks pretty good with the ball today TBH but he won't track back, for me Alzate looks the poorest of the central 3 in midfield, wanting too many touches all the time..

And that is the problem - it's why they moved McGlashan.  You shouldn't have to hide a player int he team.  He only fits if upfront for me, he simply has no clue where to be defensively.  Alzate at least seems interested in that part of the game, but he's not good at it, especially when in a deeper role where he needs to be.

Knoyle is a real find
I think he has been our most consistant defender in the last year since he came into the side.

I like Richards and think he adds a lot to the team but why do we persist in hoofing a ball up field for him in some sort of target man role? thats not his strength.

Taylor crosses to Doughty but he can't quite make contact in the box.
