Not sure if its his injury but Richards seems to have lost the ability to jump for headers.

He plays much better when he has someone else (Norris), doing that job

Thats pretty unfair really.

PB has some shit to work with that was left over from Flipflops reign.

He should still be getting better out of them than 7 points in 7 matches- very disappointing

Alternatively though was (if we lose today) will only have lost 2 in 7 games, Flipflop didn't equal that once this season with us.

That was god awful.

The pitch is terrible, it's like playing on concrete only it's full of bumps.  Some balls are double bouncing over head height.

Central defenders are terrible.  Newport have almost won every ball into the box.  It gives us no foundation if we can't compete.

Left side of our team is a fucking joke defensively.  There appears to be nowhere on the pitch you can play Taylor without him creating a defensive liability for us.  He's a conundrum for me, best player we have with the ball, great for set pieces and some delivery, but he's absent when defending and exposes those around him.  Hussey is not a good enough defender to compensate.

Both Woollery and Richards are guilty of the same thing, they have average control at best but always try and do something when receiving the ball rather than just holding the damned thing from time to time.  Combined with the pitch today it means they have lost the ball pretty much every time it has been played up to them.

I didn't really get the love for Twine in the last game and I'm afraid he is playing like a youth today.  Spent most of the game like a pinball bouncing around not being anywhere effective and not providing any sort of outlet.

Banks is absent because you cannot get any control in midfield.

Dunne is Dunne.  A combination of ball watching, losing players, chasing the ball and leaving his position and a waste of space in terms of possession.

Keeper is rooted to his line.

Knoyle is doing ok though, so there is that.

I can稚 wait until the end of the season and not have to watch most of these hopeless players next season.

Hopefully whoever is our manager next season can bring in some competent players and not another load of assclowns that we have currently.

Hard to disagree with anything you say there RobT.

We are poor all over, we can't pass, tackle or head the ball today, changes in style and attitude as well as personel is needed this half.

While I'm inclined to agree, he did make us a little harder to break down and has got us playing a bit more football. The squad as a complete unit just isn't intelligent enough to be able to turn the style of play around almost seamlessly. That's why they play in L2. I don't think it's not for trying though. On both PB and the players part. Bottom line 8/11 of them just don't have the extra ability and they're stuck in a style of play left to us by that blagging turd.

I do think PB with a clean slate could get us out of L2. He wouldn't have to break the bank. Just slightly better and slightly more tactically aware personnel.

Much as I'd hate to say it, this s precisely the game for hit it and run football.  I doubt Man City could play the ball around on the floor on this.

If Brown does not take this then I hope we go for Tidsdale - he's out of contract end of season and he knows this league.

It needs to be done early though so we have enough time to make the changes needed, we don't need wholesale changes but we need to improve the quality in every position
