On the subject of birthdays i’m Shit at telling people of anything that I would as a BD present, just cannot be arsed so like a lot of people I guess I tend to say nothing really. However, i’m Interested in a wine sulphide filter. So the question is, has anyone got one or knows of someone who has and are they any good?

Or buy your wine direct from the sellers (before supermarket/bulk buyer chain). Most wines that are "made" for the supermarket will contain sulphites purely for shelf life longevity and transportation. You can buy your wine w/o sulphites from the sellers though and it should be cheaper and there's a lot of theory around "no sulphites equals less likely hangover" certainly seemed that way when I was drinking local plonk in Italy a few years ago and also in Madeira two years ago. I think I paid €1 for a litre of Vinho Tinto and no it wasn't table vinegar Wink

Not sure if this is the same thing but we have some device you pour red wine through which meant that it doesn't require to be put in a decanter for hours and you can just drink it straight away.

Not a clue if it works or not!
