Recently they advertised a Professional Development Coach which I think is the vacant Youth Team Managers position and this was 25k as well which many seemed to think was also low. I noticed on some recruitment websites other similar positions at other clubs, particularly Bristol City to name just one advertised and they were more 28-35k
25k for a first team goalkeeping coach in league one does look low! I would have expected that to be 30-40k

Looks realistic to me. We're a Div 3 side with a Div 4 budget...OK not a huge salary, but a nice little job, how many hours do you work?

I agree, can't be more than 4 or 5 hours a day max.

Try 55-60 hour week during the season and you'd be much closer

Steve Hale in "work" 730am most days and several evenings coaching the youngsters and going to matches. At STFC the g/coach is part of the management team. Power gets his money's worth.

Aside from actual coaching, planning sessions takes a fair old time, he'd also have responsibilities in the academy age groups as well, there's a huge amount of paperwork involved these days in EPPP. Coaching these days tends to be very long hours for very poor pay, and at the lower end usually trying to scrape together something approaching full time work from bits of piece work all over the place. Those on full time contracts which I can well see being 50+ hrs for £25k pa are the lucky ones. The compensation of course, being earning a living out of doing something you love.

I'm quite sure he's actually still in the gym at 7:30 😜

That's shite money imo. The hours will be long too with first team duties during the day then the academy in the evenings. Add Saturday with the first team and Sunday with the academy to that too. Basically a 7 day working week.
