So I'll probably get shot down for doing this on the day, seeing as it being done the day before worked last time... but.......

2-1 Town, Ajose & Beeks.

Wrong scorers, but I'll take that..

Now only 9 points of the playoffs  Wink

Seriously though, decent turn around in form!.. Remember when the Matchday Threads had more than 4 pages at full time?!

Well, that was like pulling teeth!  A poor game not helped by the wind but we were poor, credit to Rochdale they never stopped coming at us but we were our own worst enemy, struggled to pass and our strikers were well shackled by the much larger defenders.  I guess frustrating is the word I am looking for, we lost possession so often and I lost count how many times we lost possession from our own throw-in!  They were quite happy to foul us to stop us and the ref could have been a bit harder on them but considering they played with 10 men for 80 minutes I guess we were slightly fortunate to get the win - and but for a howler towards the end when their guy shot over the bar when through they would have got a point!  A win is a win regardless of the circumstances but we will play a lot better for no reward I fear!

We aren't going to win any awards for style and grace. In truth it was a slightly disappointing performance against 10 men.

But ultimately, given our recent league position, 3 points is all that matters. We have to be careful not to take our foot off now - the escape job ain't done yet.

When you're in a relegation battle, a win is what you want, and you can't really expect it to be pretty, especially in difficult conditions.  We're giving ourselves a chance of getting out of the mire, still a lot to do.

That was terrible watching - really poor stuff.

But you can't argue with another 3 points. Thought Dale were a real bunch of cloggers and if memory serves, they were the same last season, too.

Ajose and Obika were dreadful today. Gladwin looked classy a couple of times and at least Kasim put some effort in. I'm changing my mind about Barry - convinced he was the new Agombar but he has got some quality.

Must say I like listening to Lingy - honest appraisal of the game with no bullshit.

Playing badly and winning is a good thing to have

Great win today, 9 points in 3 games under Lingy. Thought Kasim was superb today, well worth his place in the team on that performance.

That was an abysmal performance against 10 men. Three points shouldn't gloss over the fact that we were outfought and outplayed in the second half.
