This for a long shot.

That is a brilliant report.

Hereford V Newcastle

Shame they never think to mention that on Football Focus on 3rd round day.

Anyone know who the commentator was that day?

They mentioned this on the news last night.

Goran Ivanisovic winning wimbledon, Ben Crenshaw (I think) winning the open and Cameroon beating Argentina in the WC in 1990 were mentioned.

Goran Ivanisovic winning wimbledon, Ben Crenshaw (I think) winning the open and Cameroon beating Argentina in the WC in 1990 were mentioned.

Just goes to show not to take much notice of what is braodcast as "news"

Ivanisovic beat Henman in the semi....that was a fucking surprise.

I'm sure you mean Ben Curtis....plenty of US journeymen have carried off the claret jug

African football had been improving for some years....think it was Ruud Gullit who incorrectly predicted an African side would win the WC.  Now North Korea beating Italy in 66, would be worthy of mention.

Keith Deller's 83 world darts win, is another worthy of consideration, along with Joe Johnson's 86 Crucible snooker world title.

Oh and Ireland rolling over the Windies for 25 in 69, was a bit special

What about that kiwi rugby player sticking his finger up another players bum in the scrum? The recipient of that was mega upset.
