http://www.swindonlinksport.com/2015/02/06/winding-up-petition-issued-to-swindon-town/A WINDING-UP petition has been served on Swindon Town by HM Revenue and Customs, with a court date earmarked for Monday, February 23.
Swindon Town Football Company Limited have been named as respondents in the petition, listed in the London Gazette this week.
The case is due to be heard at the Rolls Building in London on February 23 after the petition was submitted by HM Revenue Customs, claiming to be creditors of the club, on Monday, January 5.
Link Sport approached Swindon Town for comment on Friday but the club has yet to respond.
Adver were going to put it on the front page, seems Sam pre-empted them. Yes hopefully it'll be sorted, but one wonders about the true financial situation - cash flow, or something deeper.

Given we just turned down £3.5m for Luongo, it seems Power is a bit of a tosser when it comes to paying bills.

Yeah, I think he's probably a sell his own grandma type. Hopefully it'll be resolved quickly.

Maybe he's got carried away with the new corporate trend of not paying anything for 90 days.

Beren Cross @BerenCross 2m2 minutes ago Shah said the new notice was simply part of a formal process, but #stfc's dispute with HMRC had been dealt with.

quote from Adver's Beren Cross #stfc director Sangita Shah said matter already resolved.
http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/11778197.Swindon_Town_say_winding_up_case_is_sorted_as_date_set_for_High_Court_hearing/... But Swindon Town director Sangita Shah said the matter had already been resolved and the notice was simply a part of that process.
A spokesman for HMRC said: “For legal reasons, HMRC does not discuss the tax affairs of identifiable taxpayers.
“HMRC’s aim is not to wind up companies but to collect, as efficiently as we can, the debts that are due, using the range of powers available to us.
“HMRC only initiates winding-up action where it believes this is the best course of action to protect the interests of the Exchequer, in respect of a particular debt. Anyone struggling to pay an HMRC debt should call us.
“HMRC has an outstanding track record in supporting those who are experiencing genuine difficulty paying their debts, and this approach will continue.” ...
Seems a non-story before its even hit the shops so to speak...

He waits beyond the red letter, he ignores the deb collector guff, avoids the knock on the door and then pays when the press gets hold of it, Id=f he wasn't our owner he'd be a cock, as it is, lovely.

The Adver is hastily reprinting all of its front pages. Something about a cat stuck in a garden shed in Pinehurst.

Was in public domain, needed reporting, was reported, club responded, appears sorted.... We move on.
Mr Moosehead has reported and thus proven he isn't a club patsy (don't think most of us ever thought he was but it was suggested by some supporting the Advertiser)
I think Mr Power is one who likes to drag out his terms, and possibly query every thing which he is fully entitled to do.
I wonder whether this is related to the already reported tight cash flow through lack of home games and the club trying to delay payment and the revenue not agreeing?
