Enjoy the game Gloria Gaynor. The much loved anthem of women of a certain age.....sadly R4E fails to qualify on either count.

R4E is tough as nails. He stood through a game at Barnet a few years back on a broken ankle.

That wasn't a very friendly thing to do to the guy who had the broken ankle.

The best part of 90 minutes, plus extra time, then defeat in possibly the worst penalty shoot out in history. Have to wonder why I bothered staying.

When you look at how the side imploded after the failed play off campaigns of 2003-04 and 2009-10 with relegation following within a couple of years it seems pretty vital we get up this season. As our friends up the M4 would be happy to remind us some pretty vital parts of the side are loanees, and the likes of Luongo, Wes, Andy Williams and today Kasim have given pretty big signals that should we not be offering them Championship football (and wages) next season they are unlikely to be gracing the County Ground with their presence. By turning away big money for Massimo Luongo lee Power has taken a pretty massive gamble on the team keeping going as strongly in the next 18 games as they have managed in the first 28. Let's hope that he is proved right in showing such confidence in them doing so.

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/may/22/club-by-club-guide-championship-finances-2012-2013Looking at these figures is staggering. Bearing in mind our current budget is around 1.8 million and you would imagine it would probably go up to around 5 million or so in the Championship, how could we possibly compete with the other clubs? Peterborough who got relegated were easily the lowest with 6.2 million. Could our current model with a low budget and loanees etc possibly do anything in the Championship?

I wouldn't worry too much about it....worrying about things which might never happen, is bad for your health.

Thanks for the concern Reg, It wasn't a worry at all, merely a discussion point in a hypothetical promotion thread!

Fair enough....you just sounded worried My concern is more that if we don't go up, then we're really starting from scratch next season....
