I expect those frozen out have

1. Some sort of appearance bonus and/or win bonus
2. Some sort of transfer fee clause 'when they play x number of games we owe...'
3. The 'Pook' rule - ie play 20 times and you get another year on your contract

I meant to post this last night. Think you have it spot on DV.

As always, it's difficult to gauge what's what from friendlies but we didn't look any better or worse than the last few years we've been and played Ciren despite what the score line suggests.

That team in the first half is clearly the first choice side and it looked pretty good on the ball, passing through midfield, natural, inter-changeable wingers, just need a true CF type to play through the middle. I think Storey is better suited to that role than Williams is.

Both Williams and Storey missed some quite easy chances... however Storey banged two pretty decent strikes in so Id start him on Saturday.

If it's to do with players, should be the manager explains why they're being left out. The board should keep well out of commenting on playing side (and that's not just this board, but any board) until it's time to explain that the manager's been sacked because results/performances weren't good enough or the occasional   vague "Are You Being Served?" Young Mr Young style "You're all doing terribly well" if things are OK.

Under normal circumstances, I'd agree that the manager explains. However, Cooper's caretaker manager and only just been told he'll be in charge on Saturday. And I just don't think Cooper was the one who has made the decision to not just leave out the three players but completely marginalize them (I think BBC reported this week that they are not even training with the first team).

I was in the area today, so popped along to the Feltham ground for a quick recce. Plenty of car parking at the ground, and a social club/bar on site. The ground is right by the end of the  main runway at Heathrow, and there were 747's coming in about 75 feet above the ground, so bring ear plugs if going.
