At the vets the other week I saw they do cat flaps that work off the cats microchip to stop other cats getting in, I thought that was quite clever.
Mine just have that little magnet to open the cat flap which doesn't stop other cats getting in,
My Dad has one of these cat flaps but his cat just sits outside waiting to be let in

Nearly finished it. I just need to buy some thin plastic/upvc to line the access. Is there an adhesive that will bond plastic to stone?

Silicon will seal it as well as hold it, try to get a LMN ( Low Modulus Neutrul ) type as it will set quicker.
