interesting tactic to try and blame Casey for two of the incidents. wonder if he asked him first..

If he did, I doubt he'd remember...

Unfortunately, my Bulls King cobra was stolen last week. I'll probably only get c€150 insurance, as it was around 5 years old.  I've seen this Team Pro Carrera in the local Ebay small ads:

http://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/top-!-mtb-26-zoll,-fully,-shimano-21-gang-top-zustand-!/396268809-217-6466

Anybody got any experience of this brand?

I don't do serious mountain-biking, but need a bike for gravel and off-road tracks.

Make sure it's not left hand drive

Anyway, Munich Red, I remember meeting up with you when I was at the Brewing exhibition, hope all is well

And another one, to be honest looks more like a driver who is just clueless and not concentrating when accelerating off a roundabout than malicious

You reckon? That looked pretty deliberate to me, he had a good 5-6 seconds with the cyclist in clear view straight in front of him.

I know what you mean, but having been unable to drive for 6 months now and thus being a passenger considerably more than I ever was for the preceding 20 years I have watched other drivers in more detail. I have come to the conclusion that the vast majority of people on the roads just cannot drive and have zero spatial awareness (in fact no one seems to have any spatial awareness anymore).

Ant+ dongle into the laptop! As long as you've got a cadence sensor the zwift hamsters will run around and work out your power/speed from there.
It's not totally immersive, but the other bikes and scenery are just there to take my mind off how boring it can be riding to numbers.

Bennett : Do you have a turbo that is controlled by Zwift ??

Bewster: I don't!

I was tempted to get one, but I think it slightly muddies the water.
If you want to ride indoors using Zwift thinking you're outside, then these Smart Trainers are the way forwards.
If you want to train using their structured workouts, then a power meter or speed/cadence sensor (it works it out for you, just add a pinch of salt), then a dumb trainer is the way forwards.

Did i guess your follow up question? Smiley

and to clarify - The dumb trainers will allow you to train properly as you won't have to lower your wattage when you go up a virtual hill.

Yeah - good answers  Grin

I've only ever done free rides which become a bit tiresome and also if you don't slow down when you go up hill you come to a standstill.

Any good training/structure workouts you can recommend ?

There are loads on zwift (i can't recall if you're hooked up yet), sufferfest ones (free with strava premium) or trainer road.

Sadly all of those cost varying amounts of money either annually or monthly, but they're all good in their own ways.

I'll PM you

I would also be interested as shortly moving to a house with a garage and got the OK from consultant to start riding again. Think need turbo to try and get some fitness back Before I risk the roads again. Any suggestions for a half decent sensibly priced turbo?
