Rubbish collection

I see the new collections have started which include the new blue sack and the food box thingy. I checked the SBC site today as some neighbours had put bins out (when collection is normally next week). Tells me about the recycling stuff, but sod all about the regular rubbish. Is it all being collected the same day as normal?

If you are in a house like me
my recycling (and food) has moved to Wednesday (tomorrow)
my general waste (and food) is next Wednesday
my green waste is as it was (every two weeks) on a Thursday
So no, they don't collect it all on one day

Certainly on my estate they’ve gone from collecting everything fortnightly on a Wednesday
To collecting Food Waste and Rubbish one Thursday then Food Waste & Recycling the other Thursday.

I tried that one Jimbo but it only gives collection dates for recycling boxes, bag and food box

Have you scrolled down the page where you read about your recycling collection? I did the same at first look but then discovered the other stuff was mentioned further down the page because the next delivery is on a different date (next week).

Scrolled down but it mentions nothing about rubbish collection and the next collection date is 2 weeks later

Put out blue bag thingy as ordered yesterday and still sitting there now, they made it to the entrance of our cul de sac and pissed off and didn’t bother.

Wouldn’t mind it it was a free service but we pay for this with extortionate council tax bills, wonder if I can start paying as and when I feel like it?

Shambles like most things in Swindon! 🤬🤬🤬

Out here in the sticks we're able to fill out a form saying a collection has been missed.
I know it's not perfect but it does mean your service eventually gets provided

Those town folk don't like forms though, they like to get on the phone and cuss somebody out..  much more relaxed out in the sticks
