Bloody brilliant.
Remember Micky Adams spouting bollocks doubting Di Canio and all those 'foreign players' at the start of the season?
Adams (below) said: “It’s his first job and I think everybody in football knows how important it is to get off to a good start when you begin as a manager.
“Don’t get me wrong. He has a wealth of experience and I’m sure can get over what he wants.
“But the first club you are in charge of can either make you or break you.
“Since he arrived, Swindon have had quite a turnover of players, including a number of foreign boys. It will be interesting to see how they settle.
“His reputation will help him at first, but players can work you out very quickly.
“They soon decide if you talk a good game, or if you really can impart your knowledge and develop a pattern of play.
“The one thing he will find is that this division is relentless.
“In the first few months when you are playing twice a week, with no time for recovery, it can be a real test. A lot of the foreign players will find that alien, and it will be an eye opener for him.”
