Just one downside yesterday (to show that the club can still screw up its organisation).

I was 5 minutes late getting to the match, having still been in Fishguard at noon, and was very annoyed at not being able to buy a programme. They said they had printed 10,000 but sold out, Did 1,700 people really buy 2 programmes?

Rest assured if anyone tries getting that one going - even (or especially) at the Oxford game - there will be plenty of us shouting them down.  Not acceptable.

Never heard it yesterday and yes i think the idiots will get shown the door if they do...anyway the WE ARE DI CANIOS RED AND WHITE ARMY with the DR stand was brilliant,a bit like old times.

As for the match the fitness won us this match i reckon,we were running rings round them a the end and could have won by six.
Flint will be hard to dislodge on that performance and in Rizzer we have a quality player no doubt.
Bodin did well and have to say that Phil Smith played well, his handling at crosses was the best i have seen from him.
We can only get better..so the rest of Lg 2 should be worried.

Anyone else have any probs with their season tickets at the turnstile? I spent a good (embarrassed) 3 minutes wiggling my card around until eventually it allowed me entry.... thats gonna be fun for every home game!

The slot was much bigger than the card, which I imagine was the issue - I take it this is because matchday tickets are bigger?

Oh, and if any of you lot were the smart alec bastard who murmured at least three times 'he's probably got the card the wrong way round' in a real condescending way - fuck you, I had it perfectly orientated thank you very much.

My son went through first, which was a good job, as I had to mess about with his a bit before the green light came on.  The queue certainly didn't seem to be moving any quicker and the turnstiles were still manned as well in case there were problems I imagine?  I'm not sure why the slot on the season ticket turnstile has to be big enough to take paper tickets still? Unless I'm wrong, even for cup games the card will be used?

At the start of the match Crewe were lively and good movement all over the pitch but as the game moved into the second half they looked tired and looked like the young team they are.

30 days solid training with one day off will prove it's worth in the early stages of this season. PdC does seem like a bit of a taskmaster when it comes to fitness.

And the Town End food kiosk,no hot food at half time.
Either sort it out or shut it down,it really is unfair on the youngsters who work in there and have to face the wrath of the pissed off fans.

Agree Kennedy was solid. Could be our set piece specialist this year.
I understand Kennedy is the nominated set piece taker.

8,762 crowd with 124 Creweies there cos their fans don't travel well or very from Gresty Road (sorry the Alexandra Stadium!).

Lets hope my head is wrong and my heart wins with a thumping 3-0 win!

Should have gone with my heart and not my head Cheesy

Enjoyed the game for a change. Pretty much everything has been covered so I won't ramble on. Poor first half but good second. We were never really going to lose once the penalty went in. Risser looked a bit off the pace as did Smith but hopefully it was just nerves and Risser's goal was fantastic so that should give him some confidence now. McCormack did well when he came on. I can't help but feel with a bit more fitness he'll be in there alongside Risser. Same goes for Connell who I thought was lively when he came on as well. Timlin did alright but he's not a winger. Will be interesting to see how Esajas looks when he comes back into contention. Thought Ritchie was a class above. Wasn't he most lively game but you can see he has good quality for this level. Flint deserved MOTM. He won everything. Would like to see him paired with Comazzi as Devera was a bit suspect at the back.

I struggle to see many negatives about yesterday. We only played well for 45 minutes but still won the game 3-0. For me it's a perfect start and who can grumble with sitting in 1st place after one game? Start as you mean to go on and all that. I hope so anyway.

Phil Smith deserves to keep his place on that showing. It's all very well getting in a new keeper with the aim of making him your number one, but he should earn it, not be handed it.

Smiffy should have the jersey until he no longer deserves it.

Agreed and I think Di Canio will have that point of view too. If he starts 'fringe' players because they've been the best in training then he's almost certainly going to keep faith with players who have played well on matchday.

I fully agree, played extremely well yesterday.
