I might go do it today...

My friend has seen them before and said they're awesome.

3rd time seeing Metallica, 4th Slayer, 6th Slipknot.

Not to mention a fucking ton of bands I've yet to see.
Sonisphere has an awesome line up to be fair. Sunday main stage is stupidly good.

Saw Slayer at the Clash of the Titans gig at the NEC, with Megadeth, Testament and Suicidal Tendencies I think.
Seen Metallica 3 times but never seen Slipknot live. I'm getting a bit old for concerts now.  Crying

You're never too old for gigs/concerts/festivals! I'll personally be in and around the front for any band, when i'm 60!
Gotta love live music! And beer.... Smiley

Cozy Powell - late great rock god and Town fan - played with Jeff Beck, Bedlam, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Sabbath, Michael Shenker, Emerson Lake & Powell + many many others.
