Agreed, email the club directly but without being pushy at all, hint that you are selling it and they MAY be interested in buying it. Nowt to lose, the PR at the club now is top rate so they will answer.

I email Nick Watkins a while ago & he said they were not interested in purchasing it - but would happily put it on display for me

Email the supporters club - they may be interested in things like this or know of people that might be interested

It's a nice bit of history & all that but.. If you had that valued on the antiques roadshow I doubt they'd say it's worth anywhere near £2k

The only way to determin the true value of an item like this is by auction, I suspect you may be well down on the £2k valuation unfortunately

Would love that Fleming medal.
Having it in a display cabinet somewhere like the club shop for a few home games may get someone interested and would also give fans the chance to have a look. Most fans like to see old memorabilia from their own club.

Real strange that the club will not buy it in my opinion,a real shame.

Not sure when the quoted 2K was paid out for Flemmings medal, but I suspect it was pre 2008.

The world has changed since then. Trinkets like an old England medal have dropped in price as there is little money around for everyday stuff, let alone for an item that would be considered an indulgent purchase by most peoples standards.

I'll give you £500 in cash for it if you're desperate to get some money back on it. Genuine offer.

Raffle it....£20 a ticket, selling a hundred will net you two grande.....and the item will almost certainly stay with a Town Fan.
Selling 75 would get you £1,500.
Of course i am not sure if that is legal....but i reckon with the clubs progress this season you would get a decent response.....i will have 2.........just 98 to go Cheesy

I think he would sell ten on here alone.........though selling 100 would be tough that is granted.

For sure, the price of football memorabilia has not quite collapsed, but damn near so.
I appreciate the offer, however I wouldnt sell it for that

Have you contacted any members of his family? Might sound like a daft question as I presume they sold it in the first place? Apologise if i've missed something.

I would love to have this to go along with my other medals, would look nice indeed. For what it's worth I respect what you are doing those are you and your dads wishes, let's just hope it gets in the hands of a town fan, id love to have it.

Maybe we could all pay £10 each and buy it off the fella then we could give it to the club where it would stay forever, not a bad idea hey?
