And the future is certain
Give us time to work it out

I can remember when the West Swindon club in Radnor Street wasn't strangely named, because that area was where Swindon stopped. Toothill farmhouse was actually a farmhouse back then.

I went to the youth club at the farmhouse, good times.

Tandys
Oven Door
Homeboyz
Chelsea Girl
Mortimers Fruit & Veg

I remember it being £2.50 to stand on Shrivenham Road and watch Swindon when I was a junior.  We used to get there really early as well, so me and my brother could get near to the front.  My dad used to stand right at the back with all his mates and then come and collect us at the end.  You'd never dream of separating from your kids at a football match now.  How times change.

I worked at Mortimers after school, cash in hand, Get in.

It was a load of tunnels under the Wyvern...you know the round pillars at street level, they open up and there are stairs down to the tunnels. There was some sort of chinky kitchens under there and you could walk along a fair bit before the mad bastards came out chasing you with machetes and carving knives etc...

cosmic and ripple skin tight jeans from the brunel market. The changing rooms facing out into the whole market with curtains that barely covered the room. The humilation.

Oh, and being chased by some chinky from the kitchens with a machete, always seemed to happen to a mate of a mate....urban myth?
