Finding myself agreeing with the majority - series 2 was slow, and definitely lacked the punch and excitement of series 1. I read the books ages ago but don't remember most of what I've seen in the series, only really remember the prison so am going to have to find a way to re-read them.

It all goes fucking mental in the books after the prison. The end of the prison was brutal too.

Series 2 was slow, I personally felt it just bumbled along, the last three episodes were great. I think series 3 will start around the end of September
