Yeah, dont offer Duke a new contract good one
He was one of our better players last season, and the season before come to think of it
Still lets get rid, we will have a much better starting 11 next season without him
GK:
RB: Jenkins CB: O'Hanlon CB: Ifil LB: Nicholas
RW: CM: Pook CM: Miglioranzi LW:
ST: Fallon ST: Roberts
Subs 1: 2: 3: 4: 5:
Champions! Parkin is still here you know! I'm determined to keep the bugger, without him we're in trouble. Oh and you forgot Ashan Holgate.... D'oh. :| Seriously dont think Parkin will be here come August Holgate hasnt got a pro contract..... Suppose I could have added Lapham on the lef wing!!!

or you could wait until we get a replacement for Duke?? Just a suggestion.
I still cant remember him being 'one of our better players' in many games, let alone seasons.

Am I meant to? I'd be very happy to see Daisy sign up again.....if he got 2 more years he'd be 7/10 of the way to a testimonial.

if it helps, Reg.
 I think the fans deserve a testimonial for enduring him...

Unfair, he's not been that bad. Everyone has good and bad games. Some just seem to be picked up more by the fans.
Dasiy has been a loyal servant to this club whilst others have come and gone.
His contract offer must be crap if he is considering a League 2 club.

Dukes not anything special and I have besmirched him at times. He does get the job done though, is a versatile player and one that plays with a good professional attitude. I hope we can keep him tbh, even though I have said otherwise in the past.

i would like to see duke sign. like someone sed, everyone has been in consistent(1 or 2 aside) but people just latch on to duke and notice his mistakes more.
he has done more positive than negative last season which is more than i can say for evans, igoe, howard and a few more. Also gets his head down and plays where-ever.

He's off:
"DAVID Duke’s County Ground farewell is likely to be witnessed by around 18,000 adoring fans.
The Scotsman will be among those at the long-awaited Elton John concert tomorrow and that is expected to be his last appearance on the Wiltshire stage.
Duke’s exit from the club is likely to be confirmed following a telephone conversation with Andy King on Monday.
Manager and player will have one final chat although the odds are heavily in favour of Duke starting the season elsewhere.
The versatile former Sunderland man has told the Evening Advertiser that he has two other irons in the fire, although does not wish to disclose the clubs concerned at this stage.
As it stands, it looks as though the 26-year-old has kicked his last ball for Town after notching up 200 league games for the Wiltshire club."

so we've now lost someone who can
a. play alot of different positions well b. chips in with alot of assists c. started over 40 games last season (away start more? Evans?!)
Out of all the out on contract players I think we may well just miss Duke the most and not realise it till he's gone
I hope all those twats that booed him last season are pleased with themselves and are still pleased with themselves when we are playing a bunch of kids and losing 5-0 every week
Division 3 here we come.....

I booed him and I'm not pleased with myself, never have been. I think we'll miss his versatility and I'd still like to see him stay but it's hardly the end of the world.

DV85 makes a good point about assists-he was top of the list last season.Yeah he cost us a couple of goals-but not as many as Evans or Heywood.
