Anyone been up to Shaw Forest lately? Took pooch up there last night for a walk, the fucking rubbish left behind was terrible. I'm guessing the travellers have been there recently? Grinds my gears, scumbag fly tippers.

My eldest DNA just regaled me an incident that happened at the W/E. He is a teacher.
In a supermarket he sees a pupil from his Skool. So he says hello as girl had seen him and made eye contact.
“Who are you?” Barks the mother. “I’m a teacher at her Skool.” “That explains her oh my god comment.” The parent then looks in my sons basket and spots some organic veg. “And I thought you teachers didn’t get paid very much.” My Eldest replied “There’s no need to be nasty, have a lovely summer break, see you in September.” FFS, if that is what are people like in ‘normal’ life there’s not much hope going forward. On top of that pissing on his chips he’s helping his mum look after his terminally ill grandad and I know how much that’s playing on him ATM.
If you cannot say something nice best saying nothing.

No, it was not a very pleasant exchange. As it happens he lives on his own in a two bed mortgaged flat. What dimwit mother didn’t consider is the sacrifices he’s made over the years to pay for the deposit and the self funded year out of the workplace to pay for and pass the uni teaching module. For that ignorant parent that had a weird pop at your son for daring to have some organic veg, there is another parent who appreciates everything that the teacher does to help their child. And that is what your young'un has to remember.

Fly tipping is a big problem up this way too, and really annoying. However the local councils don’t help themselves, a guy in the village was knocking down a garden wall so had some rubble to dispose of so took it to the local tip/recycling centre, but they turned him away so he drove from Spalding to Peterborough & they too turned him away. He could have been a bellend & just dumped it but fortunately he asked on the local facebook group if anyone had a skip & wouldn’t mind if he could put a boot load of rubble in it. |

Definitely in the don’t understand category, but just caught some of the Paralympics on TV, and a British guy just won a bronze medal in the cycling, but he was racing someone with only 1 leg.
Surely having two legs is too much of an advantage 🤷🏼♂️
