Lets remember that we we can get around 5 players from Liverpool, Man City and Celtic - already confirmed by Fitton that they've got some lined up for whichever league we were going to be in.  On top of the main basis of this years team we are looking at a potential gap a left back to fill and a forward assuming Paynter goes.  I think we are in for a good season next time around, much more confidence than a year ago.  Add in a few quid from the end of season we've had, a bit of extra cash for teams next year and the boost on season ticket sales.

Kanyuka was crap.

Would have barely got a game this season.
I think that the point is that we need an option like that on the bench. Sign Ferry by all means, but when we are struggling in a game like the Millwall one, bring on a different type of player to him. We don't have that option at the moment with Timlin and Easton.

In regards to pace the one thing i don't understand is what went so wrong with Marshall? Most would agree that we don't have a plan b but when he played he did make a difference and teams had to double up on both flanks. He didn't do anything wrong did he but just disregarded for some reason

Macklin also has pace to burn.

I think its clear in Marshall, Macklin, Timlin and Easton that Wilson had players he didnt want to use. I think he used Marshall as a last resort.

Although he had 3 or 4 really good games, even the most stubborn person would have had their mind changed some what i would have thought.

Last season when wilson moved him into center midfield he was pretty good I thought. Having said that though i would have only used him as a plan B this season.

I wouldn't have used him has plan F.

And yes Cuthbert was linked. Unfortunately.

Think we need to sign Sheehan and possibly Ferry at the right price.  Get Ward again (unlikely).

BP can be replaced.  Tadhg Purcell from Darlington (someone may have mentioned this before?)

Need some more height in midfield, Ferry and Dougie are quite short really.

How the hell do you pronounce that?? (The Tadhg bit I mean of course)

If BP does go (I'll be amazed if he doesn't) could Le Fondre be a realistic target?
