i find the things a pain in the arse to clean too.cheese melts all over the sides and back and it's more trouble than it's worth.
Ah, that's why I am going for the most expensive one I can find - hopefully the cheese will stay in. My good lady lobbed the last one for precisely your pain in the arse reasons.
i use my george foreman grill now instead,but the results aint quite as good.
Ha - I found an industrial version of that yesterday on eBay, £1,800 a pop. Cooks bacon in five seconds...

Spent £40 on mine, I used it three or four times, forgot to clean it after the last use... sat gathering dust and god knows what inside.
I think leaving it visible on the worktop and hence in children's sight goes a long way to keeping it in regular use. Out of sight out of mind...yep, soda streams, bread makers and I would also add fondue sets...
