Oh dear, another Eduardo im affraid. Horrific Tackle on Aaron Ramsey.
Shawcross was sent off and appeared to be cying as he left the pitch, arsenal players were really upset aswell. Sky refused to show replays.
Deja Vu.

Having watched the game & that video back again I'm still not convinced there was any intent at all.
It just looked as though he had mis-controlled the ball and was trying to lump it forwards and that Ramsey got there a split second earlier.
To be honest if it had not have been for the severity of the injury, I doubt if Shawcross would have got any more than a yellow card.
In fact it was probably less of a foul than the one by Fabregas right at the end of the game, where he (appeared to) deliberately hack someone from behind.
But whatever the rights & wrongs, I just hope that Ramsey makes a full recovery

I've looked at it again and again and it doesn't look any more than a yellow to me. He was only a fraction of a second late and didn't appear to go in dangerously or high. Nasty, nasty break though.

It's just one of those things isn't it? I'm sure Shawcross didn't go in with any intent. I feel for him but of course most of all I feel for Ramsey. That lad may not be the same on a football field again and he's a quality young player.

It sucks doesn't it.
Shawcross' reaction tells the story- no intent or malice, just one of those shitty, shitty things that happen in football... much like Eduardo. It's an accident.
Red card, yes. 3 match ban, yes. Further recriminations, no.
