Shawcross is a good defender with a fair bit of potential.
I agree with DMR's comment.

Not sure about the red card. Will wait until I see it properly rather than on YouTube, but if he didn't go in high or with malicious intent then it's not a red, regardess of the outcome.
As for Ramsey, it's not nice to see that happen to anybody. Hope he can make a full recovery.

Nasty injury that. But it doesn't look a bad tackle on youtube. Hard to tell 100% though.

The MOTD still looks like Ramsey's ankle/lower leg has buckled before Shawcross hits him, although I'm sure that didn't help. Wouldn't have been a red if he hadn't been injured I'd have guessed, no studs or anything.

The replay on MOTD really didn't look that bad at all. The tackle that is not the injury.
I'm no expert but I am am very shocked such a bad injury could come from that tackle.
They stopped the footage just as contact was being made. Ramseys foot was already planted and at an angle.

Yep, either his leg already gave way like Alan Smith's break a couple of years ago, or Ramsey needs to be having a serious word with his shinpad manufacturer.

The contact was way above his ankle.

So if the contact was on his shinpad (which it looked like) then it did fuck all.

They're not designed to protect against everything Sam!

Isn't it just one of those things where his weight was all twisty and a tackle came in at the wrong time. Unfortunate all round.
