20th anniversary, and guardian have picked their best 20 clips.

what's yours?

For me, it's 'Homer vs the Trampoline', although 'Homer the Heretic' is also awesome.

Homer spots an ad in the paper for a trampoline, or as he calls it, a 'trabapoleen', then a 'tramamperline'. Upon collection, he gets squirted with water by pressing the door bell and keeps doing it. comedy genius.

One of the many fave bits is where Homer is hoovering the fat from Willys store (his retiremant fund) and the hoover actually hoovers Homers eye out.......gross but so good.

But there are so many good bits and classic lines, its s hame the writing has got poorer in the last couple of years.

One of the first one's when he tries to set a snare to catch a rabbit. He end's up catapulting it into the distance.

And "Operator, give me the number for 911"

My favourite episodes are....

You Only Move Twice

Hank Scorpio is the greatest one episode character.

El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Jomer (The Mysterious Voyage of Homer)

"In your FACE space coyote!"

Most episodes between 1993-1998 are brilliant though.

Its the one scene gags like the above that I love the most. My favourite is when Homer has a heart attack and in the hospital the doctor tells him to stop eating shit. He doesn't and then it just cuts back to the ambulance taking him to hospital again. Or something like that.

I watched the movie again the other day and it was a lot funnier than the first time I watched it. Not sure watching it in HD improved it though, it made it all look a bit too clinical.

Bart stapling stuff on the side of the bin so he doesnt have to empty it!

Marge: "You know the rules: he who tops it off, drops it off."
Homer: "But I can rebuild!"

Other favourites include the entire X-Files episode ("local man Homer Simpson, shown here with his tongue stuck to a lamp post…"), and Mr Burns busting Homer spray-painting the words 'MY NAME IS HOMER SIMPSON' on his office wall by exclaiming: "Who the devil are you?"

Homer:               My name is Mr. Burns and I have come to collect a letter.
Post office bloke: What is your first name Mr. Burns?
Homer:               I don't know.

Homer jumps the Springfield Gorge and misses hitting all the rocks and shit heading to the bottom the gorge, gets lifted by air ambulance and loaded into the back of a waiting ambulance before it speeds off hitting a tree, homer rolls out the back on the stretcher and plummets back into the gorge Cheesy

The best episode is when Homer becomes a teacher.

The 'Thompsons' moment is also a good one.
