"Swindon put a down payment of £5k in and I think they will pay a further £10k at Christmas, but this could rise to £50k depending on certain clauses."
Which is pretty much what we assumed, up to £50k in total. In hindsight it maybe feels a bit tight to get him so cheap, but bearing in mind the level he was playing at I still reckon it was a good and fair deal for both sides. No mention of any sell on clause though, wonder if there is one?

We had best get him signed up longer then
Yep - I'm sure Fitton and Wilson will be sitting down with him in January with a view to getting him tied down for another few years

I would willingly sell my house and all its contents to keep Charlie Austin at the County Ground.

I hope you're not suggesting that the Chinese use people's pets in their cuisine, and then sell it back to them as a delicous meal?!
Is there no end to your racist tomfoolery?!

Yeah, I was just joking. Thanks for linking me some opinions though, I'll be sure to read them later.

There is a clause in Charlie's contract that says once he plays x games it will trigger another year's extension - he's probably close to that figure now

Would that mean you have to move away from the area SONN?

I think there probably is. We also have the friendly, which unfortunately won't be at our new ground now as the planning got turfed out. Still maybe we can sort another one when the time is right

I love you. Your comments make me chuckle a fair bit. however, if PtP was using roman numerals surely he/she (sorry:)) would use 'X' not 'x'.
