He's got the making of the most loved Swindon player since Steve White I think - in terms of longevity.  He's going to get away with a hell of a lot of shit performances just because we all know he actually cares and enjoys the game - it helps he's then scored 7 in 7 of course.  I swear people actually got a tad dissapointed when Paynter knicked that one off his toes a few games back.

All his goals so far have shown "instinct" ala Chalkie. it will be interesting to see what he does if he has time on the ball. This was Chalkie's weakness. I loved the goal against Yeovil because he really had to dig it out from under his feet under pressure.

However that finish against Milwall when he controlled the ball with his arse showed great composure.

bonjour swindon fans.
i watched charlie austin for a year at poole town and it was obvious he was special, he trained with bournemouth for 3 months and came back slim and fast, im gutted bmouth didn't sign him (football league hate us and won't let us sign anyone) but i am delighted he is doing well for you boys.
At Poole town he was known as "big time charlie" austin, you should use it its good and soon he will be proper big time. Have a good season

Or try winning a major trophy to qualify for Europe, but being denied that place because you're outside the top flight.

We have played in Europe though - Italy, good old Anglo-Italian Cup

Can vaguely remember seeing Sampdoria play at the CG in the Anglo Italian Cup, think I was around seven at the time. The start of my Swindon supporting days. RIP grandad
