My wife is 38 weeks pregnant, she could go into labour any time now. Not being able to get off the drive is a risk I don't want to take.
Edit: What Dave said.

My older sister has just broke her ankle in 3 places crossing Station Road, and slipping on some ice.

If its your first, take solice in the fact that first ones are normally late. If its not, then 2nd and 3rd are normally earlier! Remember though that you can always call an ambulance if you can't get out yourself. No doubt they have some 4WD ambulances in Swindon.

I skimmed your post NMH - I thought it said something about having some WD40 ready if Sam's wife is late...

Always comes in handy, as does a good pair of gloves, sou'wester and safety glasses.

To be fair, it usually applies the female pregnancy only.

Ouch.
Funnily enough, that's what she said when it happened !! The ambulance driver only thought she tore ligaments as well.

More snow coming today. Just got back from Reading and it was snowing like hell out there and started to snow when I was walking back from Swindon train station.
