Heights is my only phobia, spiders etc don't bother me in the slightest but heights scare the living crap out of me.

If i have to go up anywhere high, i just have this feeling that i want to jump off to get it over with rather than have to stay up there, so my feet always stay firmly on the ground if possible.

Flying i am ok once i'm up high enough that i can't see the ground!

I've a strange relationship with heights and don't consider it a phobia, as i think it's just vertigo, if that's not the same thing. I like the fear of height and it makes me anxious, which i also enjoy, but i get a bit unsteady and even of watching heights on a TV, or Youtube, i still have to hang on to something.

My old man is similar except he has a proper fear of heights and gets no enjoyment from them at all. He was a pilot. Smiley

The wierdest phobia i have seen is the fear that somewhere, somehow, a duck is watching you. Its called anatidaephobia.

No, really.

Really not. It's a famous joke from a cartoon strip.
