I think she means by man man scarves those scarves some people seem to wear as an accessory e.g. you wear a t-shirt but loosely fit a scarf over it.

For some reason we were talking about thongs, and she pipes up "I couldn't wear a thong, it would get tangled up in my piles". Which is possibly the most unsexy, disgusting thing i've ever heard a woman say. |
