It might of in that we might of played a familiar 4-4-2 and it might have worked better.

But it sounds like shit defending really, Elkins/Reevesesque

I guess that's true. If we'd had a bit more up front it may have relieved the pressure at the back but from the sound of it McNamee did ok.

At least he cares. Last proper brawl was at home to rovers winter of the 07/08 season. Mr Corr was reet in the middle of that.

Well... I'm almost speechless.

In all honesty I didn't fancy a win today, but a 5-0 loss? I'm lost for words.

I said to DRS yesterday that I didn't want our lot to go to Gillingham and Franchise and humiliate ourselves... Oh dear.

We've been been tonked and at least action must be made as a result of it... What do you do? Do you drop players after the opening day?

The striker thing looks like a factor. It sounded like we were playing half the team out of position in an attempt to play a formation that would compensate for the lack of 2 front men.

I'm really not looking forward to the rest of the week on the back of today. I suppose things can only get better?

Mcnamee was our best player by a mile. The only one who can hold his head up high after today.

Simeon Jackson is very good

Lescinel is Pants

Morrison was pants

Timlin was utter gash

Cuthbert was shit, but like ibelievinmrreeves said, we conceded 4 when he went off...

On todays viewing we should have kept weston.

Amankwaah had a decentish game

First half, like mex, i thought we looked ok. Second half was the worst i've ever seen.

Fred was very angry. My attempts to cheer him up failed i think.

Kind agree with most of that. McNamee was brilliant, didn't think Cuthbert was too bad, but Timlin and especially Lucas were a fucking joke.

I am logged in the hotel reception in Ashford...such is my fucking anger at that load of shit dished up today!

What the fuck happened!!??

Defence improved my Arse!!

Only the Keeps came away with any reasonable marks and Paynter running his bollocks off for nothing.

For 15 minutes in the first half we competed and very nearly scored, apart from that, it was shit!

Passes from two yards going astray....Lesconials bullet 'strike' pass to O'Brien summed us up.
 Angry
A long ball game into the corners - What the fuck was DW thinking.....?

A couple of seasons back we put the Pikeys to the sword 5 zip.....Scally was so disgusted with his sides display that he repaid any fan who presented a stub and paid for free coaches to take them to the next away game.......I hope Fitton follows suit, he could even throw in a free pint too.... Huh?

For weeks i have been banging on about a stiker, seems we need half a team and a gameplan!!

Wont be here for Franchise away but will try and make Saturday if i can - it cannot get any worse can it.........any more of this shit and i will become a Norwich Fan....DOH! Doh

PS - How Red is Bennets face???  Looked like a Lobster in that corner shop outside the ground!! ;-) Embarrassed

Absolutely dreadful!

Lucas didnt look any better than Brezovan last year
Cuthbert wasnt fit and shouldnt have been selected
Greer and Morrison too similiar - badly needed Ifil
Timlin as crap as I always knew he was .. and you slagged off Pook!
O'Brien anonymous!
No strikers - Paynter never stood a chance!

Relegation bound unless something changes quickly!

We had the wrong team out today. I believe we should've had the same team that beat West Brom, with Paynter and Macklin up front.

We came for a draw with a negative formation and got smashed.

Hopefully we may sign a few more, after this performance.

(Can't believe I already got my MK ticket) Sad

I just read through the comments... I wish I didn't.

At this point I won't adhere in writing this season off because 1) it's day one and 2) this time last year people were buzzing (with a fair amount of caution too) after a opening day win under Maurice Malpas.

Things change... Today wasn't good enough, in footballing terms it was a total disaster but I won't be be telling the currently smug "I told you we're crap" posters from thisis that they're right just yet...

Saying that I don't recall many people on here saying that we had a definate promotion chasing team... I read comments applauding the signings, and rightly so because they are decent players. We know what Gordon Greer can do for example... so we lose 5-0 and all of a sudden he's not good enough?
