I think if he's fit enough, he'll dominate everyone. As Martin Brundle once said, the bloke could put a wheely bin on pole. If he races in the last 6 races, I expect him to get at least 4 podiums. He's a fucking god. Edit: Oh, there's 7 races left. 6 podiums then.

Sorry but that is dumb even for F1.
He hasn't driven an F1 car in 16 months and won't be able to until the 1st practice session of the next grand prix. No matter how good you once were, going straight in to a race without any recent experience is just stupid.
At best he will make himself look a prick, at worst he will cause an accident.

I agree he's going to take time to adjust, if he can. But he has been testing with Ferrari, he's not sat at home for 16 months.

I'd be amazed if he pulls podiums out of the bag but he's the best option available, I mean their test drivers aren't exactly world beaters and who else is available at short notice? (Anyone who mentions Bourdais will be laughed out of town)

I agree he's going to take time to adjust, if he can.
But he won't have time to adjust, at best he'll have a couple of hours driving time before the grand prix. I'd have thought you need a bit more time than that before being let loose with a rocket ship on wheels. Saying he is the best option is stupid as well. There are plenty of test drivers about that could do a good job. I'm surprised his super car license (or whatever it is called) hasn't been revoked as he hasn't been driving recently.
