And the best chant that our fans could come up with that day was "Emerson..homosexual" on repeat.

It was the 90's therefore acceptable. Rather than a homophobic insult.

Actually I've never really had a problem with homophobic insults. I really don't have any anti-gay feelings whatsoever but for some reason I don't associate the insults with being genuinely anti gay. Wonder if that's how my grandparents felt about their racist tendencies.

Anyway, I digress.

Emerson scoring brings that game flooding back.....

Will join permanently in January according to Tisdale. Free up some valuable wage space which we could use to bring an actually useful squad member.

A decent wage too.

Good for everyone involved.

I suspect we are supplementing that wage until January at least though

We obviously all know where Charlie Austin is but I believe it's 5 years since his first Town (and professional) start along with his first Town (and professional) goal

Dave Hockaday, last heard of managing Leeds United, has taken on an advisory role at… Swindon Supermarine.

Can't remember much about him, mind. We had an awful lot of players that season.

Jake Murphy has joined Blackpool. Had a good game Saturday, and scored a lovely free kick. Ranger was played up top on his own, so spent the whole afternoon winning headers and knock downs to nobody. Bit of a waste of his talents really, but he's only got himself to blame.
