The only bit of the Murray nationality thing that annoys me is that he was more than happy to accept funding from the LTA to aid in his development. For him to then turn round and tell England to fuck off when he made it is totally taking the piss. I don't recall him saying anything that bad, I think the football comment was a joke and he still regrets saying it.

I'm sure I've also read that he doesn't even rate Wimbledon that much - he's a cock, but it amuses me how worked up people get about the fact that he's a Scotsman who doesn't like Englishman.

That wasn't all he did, he said he'd be supporting "whoever England were playing against" in the last World Cup. I'm sure there have been a few other comments, nothing major but some people do take offence at that kind of talk. |

The team's shirt he was supposed to have worn changes all the time. It was supposed to be Paruguay not Portugal but that rumour was complete bollocks anyway and he only said he'd be supporting anyone but England when asked if he would be supporting Scotland at the world cup by an English journalist. He doesn't hate England and I hope he wins Wimbledon.
