Bombay Sapphire all the way OF !
Tesco value mate. It was a toss up between that and Gordons, and there was a £3 difference for a small bottle. Try as I might I really cannot get to grips with G&T, think I'm destined to always dislike it, shame as I'd really like to enjoy it.
I found it rank for the first 5 glasses but you've just got to push on through and get your pallate used to it, weird taste. Lime is essential.

I can't remember what its called but there is a Polish cherry flavoured vodka that is to die for, especially when mixed with diet cherry coke (which itself is the greatest invention since sliced bread).
I tried flavouring vodka myself with sweets once and it tasted like shit. Anyone got a fool proof guide to doing it?

The best thing about vodka is that unlike pretty much every other form of alcohol, the cheap stuff tastes exactly the same and gets you drunk the same as the expensive stuff. WINNER

Never really tried a session neat tbh! Maybe I should give it a go!
So what is the best readily available neat apart from travelling to Poland? (queue Chubbs)
OK, i havent got a lot of time as im about to embark on a journey oop north but here goes. Vodka (or wodka) should allways be drank without a mixer, in poland its quite offensive to ask for a mixer with a good shot of wodka, the reason is a decent wodka shuold be smooth and easy to drink shot by shot without leaving that burning sensation at the back of the throat, like you get with shitty sainsburys own vodka, a decent, tripple or even 5 times distilled chilled vodka shuoldn't be a problem, but it has to be good quality. If your talking abuot stuff thats redily available in shops than you can go for the classic smirnoff but go for the blue one, or if you want a really nice one tesco's/asda/ sainsburys do a nice polish one called wyborowa, its reasonable priced at 12/13quid a bottle, again nothing something you will buy as pre drinks for a night out but if your having some guests round for dinner or somehting like that, being polish im biased as allways say go for polish wodka rather that russian. So ye, dont be scarred to drink neat wodka as long as the quailty is good, the first 1 or 2 might hit you a bit but after that its plain sailing.

Another vote for Gery Goose.
In lithuania, the vodka was cheaper than the beer for a triple shot.

I cant drink Vodka anymore since I went to Gran Canaria on a girlie holiday when I was about 19 and we went out drinking with some Irish lads from our hotel - I drank so much "Vodka and White" I had to be carried home by aformentioned Irish men - one on each arm and leg
Just the taste/smell of it now takes me back to how ill I was the next day!!!
